Jakob Spenner (b. 1989). Illustrator, designer and painter born in Helsingborg, Sweden. Now living and working in Malmö. With a career in advertising as an art director and graphic designer but also in art and painting, Spenner draws tricks and methods from advertising and communication into the world of contemporary art. 

The artistry serves as Jakob Spenner’s way to highlight the mundane, creating a time capsule of sorts. Spenners mission is to elevate everyday objects and individuals in his surroundings to something greater, bigger or different. Just as advertising images and messages entice purchases, Spenner aims to illuminate the ordinary with brilliance and spark contemplation through strongly saturated colours. Colours that similar to those used in pop art and advertising.
